This Game is a cool idea but I cant start it anymore please make a update with Multiplayer and the Shadow of every Robot is so pixely and look so stupid. Please make a Upsate
First off, Ignore the complaints about In-app purchases, they are extremely limited and unnecessary.
The real issues in this game is the extremely difficult start of the game, forcing you to grind the first couple levels and upgrade so much that the later levels of the game are insanely easy in comparison. The later levels have some pretty bad lag issues when theres a lot happening.
Also it really needs a major research update, having unlocked all research options, the 4 weapon mechs are by the far the best, the HX mechs are useless, and only the Spider legs are even worth looking at. The weapons are balanced better, but it doesnt matter much because the heavy mechs are the only mechs who can really carry multiple heavy weapons.
Game is certainly very different from metal wars 1 and 2, cant say which I like Bette but metal wars 3 is very fun. Sadly it dont have the player vs player in metal wars 2, and there is no way to control your partner mech which is annoying as hell. 1last issue is that having a heavy mech that can carry more weapons is way more over powered than the mightier mechs, I wish the game restricted so that you can only use 2 weapon at the same time, which allows for more creativity in combination of weapons to use instead of pure and simple build for max damage and kill in 2 seconds
When I play from levels 1-3 I found out i always finish with near 1-10 AP left......its not this hard in MT 2 but its ok also give more money and XP after a level.
This is an amazing app it runs extremely smooth even on my iPhone 4. the control are fluent, and Im always impressed to find a skill tree like mechanic in mobile games. This game really reminds me of ps2 mech shooters and I mean that in the most positive way.

Some bad moments
I sick of all these games geared to get you to pay outrageous fees. When I pay for an app is it wrong for me to expect to be able to play the game without having to keep paying more and more!
Id pay more if the game was built without in app purchases. What a way to milk you for more money! Just charge me 10-15$ up front And never ask for more!
MW3 is a pretty barebones action game featuring a sequence of disjointed mech arena battles that supposedly make up a campaign. There is no real plot or story, and the mission briefings are written in hilariously broken English.
The combat is more or less functional. It is pretty unwieldy to control your mech which can aim and move independently, and for this reason the most effective strategy seems to be to rely on the lousy AI to walk directly towards you (which it does when you are further than 100m away). Funny enough the best method of ensuring this is to promptly kill your "wingman".
All of this would be quite forgiveable from a two dollar game, except that the rate the game dispenses necessary upgrades is so remarkably glacial that it was clearly intended for you to buy the in game currency (which comes at an obscene premium and is dispensed in amounts designed to make you buy more than you want).
A despicable setup, altogether, from a lousy game. Avoid.

Too many bugs, and when you have finished the campaing, you cant do anything else.

This game is a great take on mech warrior combat with armored core elements. Straight forward missions with linear gameplay. Hard mode isnt different from the other modes. Jumping is pointless. Boosting is somewhat unresponsive and avoiding lock on missiles is possible but extremely difficult because of how close to the joystick you need to double tap to a actually boost. Aiming and firing while jumping is impossible because of the button layout. Worth beating once. Limits replay value, if you are skilled enough to beat on hard the first time through.

Beat level 23. One last review update. Things I would love to see in a fourth game!
- no more hesitation on the explosions. Perhaps if the mech dies from gun fire but not missiles. Its robs us of the satisfaction of blowing something up with a missile IMO.
- online PvP and co-op would be awesome.
- it would be cool to fight more enemies. Different types, and more in number. Fighting tanks and foot soldiers would be cool. Make the mech feel the way master chief feels on halo. Hes a super soldier in a "regular" world. Mech should be super tech soldiers perhaps.
Found a glitch I think on the ipad. The zoom doesnt work. Re downloading didnt help.
3 being average and 5 being perfect, it a 4. The game is fun. The explosions are nice.
Things to improve:
- I hate having to play levels over so many times to build up my bot. It makes it not no fun. More like work. I plan on playing as long as it takes though :) so that says something about the game.
- lose the wingman. Hes lame.
- dialog is crazy fast. Good thing reading it is pointless.
Basically everything looks great! But the overall gameplay comes up just short of freakn awesome.
